Woman in Construction Week | 3-9 March 2024

The week 3-9 March 2024 celebrates the achievements of women in the construction industry, shining a spotlight on their invaluable contributions and serving as an inspiration for future generations of women. Women In Construction week is dedicated to promoting diversity and empowering women in a field that has historically been male dominated. It's a time to recognise the resilience, talent, and leadership of women who have thrived in various roles within the construction sector. We asked our Group Strategy Director, Shirley Hutchinson for a few words on her view on this week of recognition from her perspective as a women in the industry herself and as a director of a growing, forward thinking company.

"There is something very special about being connected with Construction – the building of new structures or renovating and repurposing existing structures that will improve the lives of many, generating wealth for all those who work in the industry and knowing the impact that wealth will have across the economy.

Employment opportunities in construction are plentiful and those who choose to join the industry generally stay with it knowing they are part of something so creative and valuable.

Ischebeck Titan celebrates our own Women in Construction and I personally look forward to the time when a specific day is no longer necessary because being a woman in construction is no longer remarkable."
