Project Background:
In 2022, we were assigned the project of assisting with the construction of 2 new bridges on a large new infrastructure development of Podimore Roundabout in Yeovil on the A303.
The project faced numerous set backs from the beginning, with the most challenging issues being the delayed start, due to severe weather conditions and labour shortages. This initial delay in the project meant, we were already starting behind schedule and had to work very closely with the client to ensure we could meet the tight deadlines required for designs, delivery and installation.
Utilising our industry-leading Design team, we swiftly provided a full set of designs for both of the bridges set to be constructed, and supplied effective solutions to aid with their construction.
For the construction of the bridges, which spanned 15 and 38.4 meters, we supplied our popular Parapet system to form the bridge deck and our Titan universal soldiers & Titan Beam were then used as an effective method to form the bridge abutments.
The project is an overall success due to our planning, customer services and market leading products, resulting in another very happy customer, who left us a very positive review on our involvement in the project.
