Basement Construction at Queens Grove, London

The construction of a basement has been carried out to the rear of a property on Queens Grove, London. This job was unique in that it was a top down construction project, and as such, copious amounts of soil and rubble needed to be taken from the rear of the property to the front during construction.

Main Contractor, Sean Dixon Ltd, tasked Ischebeck Titan Ltd with creating a ramp and bridge system that would allow trucks - carrying loads of up to 3 tonnes - to pass over the property. Ischebeck Titan’s design team and Titan Support system were utilised and achieved a 16m clear span over the building – a first for Ischebeck Titan. 

The ramp is expected to be in use for 22 weeks.
